We have learned to keep people comfortable in efficient and beautiful buildings by working in harmony with nature. The best sustainable design occurs when working logically, capturing heat from the sun, and radiating it back into our buildings at night, sheltering from wind to reduce drafts and heat loss, understanding the behavior of water, frost, and snow drifting, and not over-relying on technology. When built in harmony with nature, buildings are as adaptable as humans.
